He looks back at Kreeg, who watches in puzzlement, before leaving the house. Sam proceeds to chew on the candy bar and leaves the room, appearing satisfied. Instead of stabbing him, however, Sam lodges the sucker in the discarded candy bar Kreeg had opened earlier, which had landed on his chest after he knocked the table over. Sam raises the pumpkin sucker above Kreeg and brings it down on his chest. Kreeg thrusts the broken bottle at the creature, but Sam snaps Kreeg's wrist. He smashes a bottle, using the broken glass as his last defense. Kreeg knocks a table and its contents to the floor. Sam removes a pumpkin sucker from his pocket and takes a bite out of it, showing the sharp-edged bite marks. Sam sits up and the hand reattaches itself to the stump, now able to wave "hi" to Kreeg. The severed hand "walks" back to Sam and taps him. Kreeg screams when he is stabbed in the foot by Sam's severed hand. He hears noises in the room, but sees that Sam is still inert. Kreeg: Yeah, I'd like to report-Hello? Hello? Hello? Kreeg shoots him twice more at close range, severing Sams hand, before dialing 9-1-1. Kreeg gains the upper hand and gets hold of his shotgun, shooting Sam across the room where he slumps against the front door. Sam viciously bites into Kreeg's leg as he screams in pain. Instead of finding a human child's face underneath, Sam's face is a horribly deformed pumpkin with beady eyes and sharp teeth. He tries to fight off Sam and manages to rip off his burlap mask. Kreeg: Wilkins! Wilkins, over here! Wilkins! Help me, goddamn it! Help me! Help me! Kreeg makes it to the far window where he calls out to Wilkins just before being tackled. Kreeg manages to throw Sam off him, slamming the little invader into the wall, and Sam now appears unconscious. He hears giggling, looks up and sees Sam pouncing on him. He manages to escape down the hallway but trips on the landing to the stairs and falls to the bottom. But he sees he only hit the jack-o-lantern and Sam is nowhere in sight. Kreeg screams and grabs his shotgun, blasting away. Sam shows him a candy bar and peels back the wrapping to reveal a razor blade inside before attacking. He falls to the floor and looks up to see Sam appear from the other side of the bed. Kreeg then screams as something stabs him from under the bed. Suddenly a jack-o-lantern, set on a table in the corner, starts spewing flames, bathing the room in orange light and revealing words scribbled all over the walls and ceiling: trick or treat, give me something good to eat. With his shotgun aimed, he pulls back the blanket to see a mechanized skeleton hand. Kreeg looks into his bedroom and notices something moving under the covers. He cautiously walks up the stairs and inches slowly down the hall leading to his bedroom. Kreege flips on the stairway light, it flashes and blows out as he sees a small figure run by in the upstairs hall. Kreeg notices the doggy-swing door is swinging and hears noises upstairs. Spite continues barking, now looking upstairs. Kreege sees that his entire yard is decorated with dozens of jack-o-lanterns. Kreege runs to the front door and opens it. After finishing the finger that Wilkins threw over to him, Spite runs back inside and continues with the barking at the front door. He takes a bite out of a candy bar but, disgusted with it, swaps it for a bottle of liquor. He collects the children's dropped candy bags and retreats inside where he proceeds to burn old pictures in his fireplace before settling in his chair to watch TV. He calls out to his dog, Spite, and picks him up to remove the monster costume and glowing head piece.
